Colter Stevens an American Army Pilot while on a mission of flying in Afghanistan suddenly passes out but soon wakes up to realize himself in a commuter train with an identity of another person. In 8 minutes the train goes through a bomb blast where he later finds himself waking up in a pod.
He later meets another one named Goodwin who instructs him to go back and find who bombed the train. He is soon sent back in time to find who the bomber is. Steven finds himself in another persons conscious this time with the same exact 8 minutes on his hand and still he is unable to stop and is brought back in the pod and then sent back to return to his pod with failures after failure. Frustrated he asks Goodwin and Rutledge to what this all is. They explain to him that he is placed in a conscious of another person to experience life in the last striving 8 minutes and doing so to find out if there were any other targets on that train.
Soon to appear on screen with great expectations, "Source Code" does bring about a thrilling experience to its viewers.
